Oliver Update

I've been slack with the blogging

I know I have been and also slack with the commenting and reading of everyone else's!

We have had shocking weather here for the last couple of weeks - pretty much rained everyday. I did think Seasonal Affective Disorder was a bit of rubbish but now I'm not sure! It's a lovely day here today - the sun is out and it's warm and not windy and best of all no rain clouds!

We escaped the big city over the weekend and went to stay with Wayne's parents. We had a great time sadly the weather made it impossible to get out and about on Saturday as we had hoped. But I did make it to the Pumpkin Patch outlet shop and wasn't disappointed!

Wayne and I got to leave the kids with Nana and Poppa and walked to the beach front for a meal. We finished off the evening with a very unsuccessful stop at the TAB. I realise now that I'm no good at picking harness racing - the dogs is far more my cup of tea! So $6 down we headed home to watch the replay of Georgina and Caroline Evers-Swindell winning! Go identical twins. I think Wayne now has great visions on how we can train our identical twins to win gold!

Madeleine has an appointment with her surgeon this afternoon and call me crazy but I'm going to attempt to walk with all three girls. We have a had an up and down morning with Trelise's behaviour being off the wall at times. She has spent a large amount of time in her bedroom this morning but has emerged in a far better mood so I have hope that we will have a nice walk this afternoon.

Luke has been spending a lot of time in his bedroom, too. I'm hoping its the age and he outgrows it very quickly because its exhausting to deal with!

It's good to hear from you. My twins, also, spend a lot of time in time out. It is totally exhausting. Sometimes I feel like all I do is fight with people to do what is needed.

Hope you feel less blah soon :)

Hope the walk goes well!

I definitely believe in seasonal affective disorder. The rain can really sink my mood after a while.

Glad to see a post from you!

I've missed your posts...glad to see you're back....my kids ALL still spend a lot of time in their rooms....I sometimes wonder what I'm doing wrong. They drive me batty!! I think we all get a little cooped up at times and I forget we need to get out every once in a while....I hope the walk did some good! I'm glad you had a nice visit with Wayne's parents.

So I'm not the only Mommy who feels like my kid is always in trouble!? Vivi always wakes up grumpy, and sometimes it gets ugly. So far today has been a good one. I hope you have a nice walk!

I've been a blog slacker lately too ;)

Fingers crossed that you have a good walk, and a good appointment, too.

I hear you about the rain. I thought I was going to die this past winter here.

weather really does effect us.
as for kids spending lots of 'alone time' due to behavior - I'm in there with you - kids are a LOT of work, eh?
on another note - when Stella's hair grows out - I will probably be asking you some advice on hair management.

I can attest that seasonal affective disorder definately exists. I live in what I believe must be one of the cloudiest and ugliest places on earth. Unfortunately, I was born here, my family is here and it is a good place to raise a family.

Luckily it is summer here now and the weather has been quite pleasant. Won't be long now though that it gets cold and cloudy. Won't see much of sun again until May.

Hope you had a nice walk. I have been a bad commenter later. I do love your blog and your girls are just precious!
