Samoa - Sliding Rocks

Just out of Apia are the sliding rocks. You walk down lots and lots of steep stairs to get to the valley below. The rocks are naturally flat so if you dare you can slide down like a water slide.

When I first saw the sliding rocks I thought there was absolutely no way I'd be going down so I sat out with Maddie and Jules. Wayne and Trelise however had no such reservations!

Trelise my little dare devil loved the sliding rocks. She befriended a Samoan woman and daughter who took her down the next set.

I did however change my mind and think that I would regret not having a go! It was terrifying!

Madeleine (top) and Juliette had a great time splashing and trying to climb the rocks.

That looks sooo fun! I just found your blog and it looks really cute :) I used to be able to do crazy fun stuff like that till I turned oh, 30 or so! Anymore- I get tired and achy just watching! I thought I needed my awesome Topricin pain reliever and foot therapy now....well, man I would have to buy it in bulk for this kind of adventure! It does work really fantastic...hmmm...maybe I need to find some rock slides! smilinggreenmom *find me on twitter!

Looks amazing. So glad to have your blog back. You must have wondered where I went. It dropped off my reader and I hadn't heard from you so I was lost...

Oh and good for you for trying it too. I always get tempted because I hate having regrets later.
