Oh I feel sick....
From the lounge Trelise yelled out "Mummy the babies are eating catfood"
I ran and yes they were. They had retrieved the cat food bowl (probably pushing poor Freddy out of the way) and were sitting down to a little picnic.
I took the bowl away - Madeleine is still crying wanting her cat food snack!
Arghhhhhhh!

Trelise's New Room
I've finished my first room - the smallest bedroom which at the moment is Trelise's. At some stage in the future we will convert the second lounge into Trelise's bedroom and make this one either Madeleine or Juliette's
This is how the room looked before we brought the house
I've done quite alot of work - first I stripped the wallpaper and then replastered the walls and then three coats of white paint.
Of course I replaced the light and curtains. I found these funky wall stickers - there was a row of rabbits by the bed but sadly in a fit of rage at her mother Trelise removed them and ripped them into pieces!
I'm almost finished Madeleine and Juliette's room - that's taking a little longer as I can only do it when they are with someone else.
And I've started painting the outside of the house - I'm hoping to have a lot done before Trelise's party next weekend but first I have to tackle my room of shame! I would post pictures but I'm not that brave!!!

What happens when?
You don't put your babies to bed?
Instead you get busy and then it all gets quiet!
On investigation I find that poor Maddie unable to get into her bed has got into mine!

Waikawa
On Wellington Anniversary Day this week we headed to Waikawa Beach (just South of Levin). Trish had this great idea of starting a annual picnic day as she had wonderful memories of picnic's here as a child.Maddie in her togs
Jules in her togs.
Waikawa Beach is a great venue for families and I can't believe that I've never heard of it before! it's a sandy banked river with a slow current. The river is tidal and was flowing away from the beach so no chance of anyone being swept away! How to keep three little girls amused for a long time. Dig a hole and put water in it!
This is Wayne piggy backing Trelise across the river to look at some crabs at the river's edge. They were so amused by them that they stayed for ages. I wondered if they were going to come back! When you are sick of digging with your sand shovel - what to do?
Hit your sister with it!
The river is only a short walk to the beach. The kids all had a fantastic day. They were all busy - not one I'm bored! Of course my lot all fell asleep as soon as the car was moving to come home!
We are looking forward to next years picnic.
